The Plane Crazy R/C’ers Club (PCRC) is one of the most successful AMA R/C clubs in the northern Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. Founded over 30 years ago in 1987, the club has an active and dynamic membership that flies all kinds of R/C aircraft and some helicopters. From the new ARF “Park Flyers”, to an ever-growing variety of small and large electric-powered aircraft, to virtually every type of small to very large piston-powered aircraft – including trainers, sport, scale, aerobatic, and ¼ scale aircraft – the club’s members are a friendly group that always welcome new members and visitors from other clubs.
This flying site has been used by the club since 1991. The site has two close-cropped grass runways, with a fenced pit area and an open-air shelter. Visitors are always welcome to come by the club’s flying site to meet and talk to members and learn about our club. The flying field. As shown in the below aerial picture, has two grass runways. The primary runway is approximately 500 ft. long by 50 feet wide, while the second runway is approximately 330 ft. long by 50 feet wide.
Monthly PCRC Club Meetings are held at 7.00 PM every third Monday of the month (except January, when we have our annual Club Banquet). In the summertime, meetings are held at the flying field.
