At Coeur d’Alene Aero-Modeling Society (CAMS) we feel that the best way to enjoy our hobby is by belonging to an active organization that will nurture your desire to become a proficient pilot. We will train you in the basics of R/C flying and work with you to qualify for your R/C solo certificate. From there you can simply enjoy the freedom to fly your airplanes or learn to be an R/C superstar. It is all available at CAMS. Our facilities were built by the members of our club who have worked tirelessly over the years to make this the most significant club in North Idaho.
- CAMS has a 550 foot by 42 foot paved runway, a grass (mowed field) crosswind runway, and a helipad.
- Covered pits with tables, 8 flying stations & several starting stands. Club accommodates electric, glow & gasoline fixed wing & helicopter aircraft.
- Field mowing throughout the summer months is contracted professionally. Volunteer members contribute to facility improvement and repairs. Annual cleanup is a fun event well attended by members.
